P&S operate across the South East of England, covering Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and the surrounding home counties. Groundworks, civil engineering and infrastructure packages are delivered on residential and commercial schemes throughout that radius, with plant and site teams mobilised from our Bedfordshire base.
P&S own their plant outright rather than relying on third-party hire, and the fleet is fitted with 3D GPS machine control. That guidance drives accuracy on bulk earthworks, cut-and-fill volumetric balancing and GPS trenching, and it means mobilisation dates are set by our own schedule rather than a hire company's availability.
P&S directly employ their site workforce, including groundworkers, civil operatives and machine drivers. Self-delivery keeps quality control, safety accreditation and site accountability inside one company, with no subcontract chain sitting between the main contractor and the people doing the work.
P&S deliver adoptable works under Section 104, Section 38 and Section 278 agreements. That covers foul and surface water sewers, attenuation systems, pumping stations, access junctions and off-site highway works, constructed to statutory water company and local highway authority specification for technical sign-off.
P&S provide pre-construction support before site mobilisation, covering project programming, commercial budgeting, ground investigations and coordination with statutory utility providers. Early involvement lets us optimise the earthworks balance and fix the commercial position while the design is still moving.
P&S hold the industry health, safety and quality accreditations required to work on commercial sites, either as principal contractor or as a specialist groundworks subcontractor to Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors.
P&S tender groundworks packages on a fixed-price or lump-sum basis. Pricing is built from your pre-construction drawings and site investigation data, so the commercial position is settled before mobilisation rather than reconciled at the end of the programme.
P&S issue a technical assessment and a costed position to your commercial manager before work continues on any variation. Unforeseen ground conditions are assessed by our own engineering and estimating team, which avoids waiting on a third-party groundworks subcontractor to price the change.
